In preparation for the snowstorm earlier this week, National Guard Units were once again strategically placed around the area. With our station having plenty of room, “Humvee 3” was housed in our station with two National Guard Soldiers. The Unit was utilized several times to assist in gaining access to emergencies and transporting stranded motorists back to the shelter that was opened at the station.
In the midst of the action, we noticed that some ceiling tiles had moved in the upstairs hall of the station indicating some structural movement in the building. An operation to remove snow from the roof was initiated and after about seven hours of snow removal, most of the snow was gone, and major damage was avoided.
Although there were some strenuous times, everyone had a great time and worked very well together. One thing is for sure, we ate good and laughed a lot…BOB!!!!.
Thanks to everyone who helped out.
